2.  It appears that John Erwin patented several tracts of land in Indiana, one of which was 9/9/1835 for acreage in Lawrence co., Indiana.  In 1830 Lawrence co IN other Erwin mentions are: William, Joseph, James, Robert.

Three Generations" - The above was taken in Dallas, Texas where my Grandmother & Grandfather Musselman had moved between 1955 and 1959 when Great Grandma Nellie Alice Quackenbush, wife of Otis Frank Musselman and daughter of Matthew Quackenbush and Eliza Skaup died. Her grandparents were Nancy Erwin & Henry Quackenbush.
